Embrace new challenges through my experience of working abroad – Luong Thi Dieu Linh

We are delighted to begin this meaningful series with the inspiring journey of Ms. Luong Thi Dieu Linh. Linh is an alumna from the Class of 2015, and she currently holds the position of Head of Marketing at Samsung Electronics Georgia & Azerbaijan. Since graduating, Linh has worked for several technology companies, including Samsung Vietnam, OPPO, Vinsmart, and now Samsung Caucasus.
When sharing her career journey, Linh said, “I have learned three valuable lessons over the years. The first lesson is to believe in yourself, which I gained from my experience at Vingroup. Initially, many of my friends advised me against joining Vingroup due to its demanding nature and challenges. However, during my 1.5 years there, I acquired significant personal and professional growth in both soft and hard skills.
The second lesson is the importance of investing in education, which I realized when I enrolled at BUV. It was a pivotal decision in my life that led me to a new path after graduation.
Lastly, I have learned the significance of embracing new challenges through my experience of working abroad.”
“Before joining BUV, I was a girl from a rural area who moved to Hanoi for my studies. Initially, I faced numerous difficulties adapting to my new life. In the beginning, my English skills were very poor, and I even contemplated dropping out. However, the school provided extensive support. As I struggled with English, studying became somewhat monotonous for me. Thankfully, I had friends and teachers who offered their assistance. I took the initiative to establish the Charity Club, organizing numerous activities that are still active to this day. I am grateful for the contributions and active participation of Prabu and Tony. This is something truly remarkable that I will always cherish.
During my time at the university, I realized that without studying at BUV, I would not have achieved the success I enjoy today. Beyond imparting knowledge, BUV instilled in me self-confidence and self-belief. It provided more than just a standard curriculum; it shaped me throughout the years until graduation.
Many students today have the advantage of confidence due to their supportive family backgrounds and English proficiency, which I did not possess initially. I consider this personal growth to be a result of my experiences at BUV, through classes, practical exercises, and effective teaching methods.”

As a long journey of development, we are proud to be a part of Linh’s growth. We hope that Linh will continue to develop and succeed in the future.
